Suppressed divinity
There is a sacred thread that runs through all of us, a divine intelligence, a quiet inner knowing, a spark of something both ancient and alive.
But for many, this essence has been silenced. Suppressed. Forgotten. Not because it vanished, but because we were taught not to trust it.
What is the “Divine within?"
The Divine Within isn’t tied to religion, it is the part of you that feels limitless, intuitive, deeply connected.
It’s the self before shame.
The voice before conditioning.
The truth that existed before the world told you who to be.
It’s the internal compass that says, “You already are enough. You already know.”
But in a world that prioritizes logic over intuition, performance over presence, and conformity over consciousness, this inner divinity gets buried beneath layers of self-protection.
The psychology of suppression:
As children, many of us learned that authenticity was risky. Our sensitivity, our boldness, our dreams, our boundaries, were often misunderstood or punished.
So we internalized a dangerous belief: I must disconnect from my truth to stay safe.
We replaced inner knowing with outer approval.
We lost our voice in order to belong.
We learned to doubt the very part of us that made us feel alive.
This is how the Divine becomes suppressed, not destroyed, but dormant.
Reclaiming the suppressed Divine:
Healing isn’t just about fixing what’s broken, it’s about remembering what’s sacred.
To reconnect with your inner divinity:
Create moments of stillness to hear your intuition
Release the need to earn your worth
Allow your emotions to be portals, not problems
Surround yourself with people who honor your truth, not just your performance
Divine essence often whispers. It won't compete with noise. But when you get quiet enough, it returns.
Reflection:
What parts of me have I silenced to be accepted?
Where have I outsourced my authority and ignored my intuition?
What practices help me feel sacred, whole, or free?
If I truly honored my inner divinity, what would I stop tolerating?
The suppressed Divine within is not lost. It is waiting. Waiting for your permission to take up space.
To lead. To remind you that your deepest truth isn’t something to find, it’s something to remember.
You don’t need to become more.
You need to come home...
